Write with F#

  Did You Consider wirte the framework with f#?That's may be easy than c# + RX.

Yes, this thought has crossed my mind. F#'s asynchronous workflows are a more natural fit for this kind of thing, but learning a new language is not an option for me at this point. Furthermore, Rx is still in too much of a state of flux to be really useful, either.

With the recent PDC 2010 announcement (the "async CTP"), it looks like Nito.Async will not be as important in the future. Some of the classes (such as ActionThread) will continue to be relevant, but much of the supporting classes for the EBAP pattern will be deprecated in favor of the language support for TAP. Naturally, they'll only be deprecated in a .NET 5.0 build, since they'll still be useful when targeting the older platforms.

The socket wrappers are currently being redesigned, and will be split off into a separate library.
